Union Square
San Francisco was founded in 1776 way before LA, people started migrating here for the gold. Riding their horse and carriages...someone struck gold and voila!! This tiny town started growing. Now with 900,000 people, Union Square is the heart of San Francisco. This is where they love to come here and hang out. Union Square was where they decided to join the North or the South. They actually helped to fund the civil war! Alma Spreckles was the first person in her family to go to college and she talked to her professors and became the model for the art classes. Adolph Spreckles adores her wanted her and because his family owned a sugar company..this is where the term..Sugar Daddy actually came from!! She was from a poor family and society didn't respect her union to the young son! Go figure...never would've known! Also San Francisco employees businesses to give 1% for contemporary art..so they aren't just a tech city they care a lot about art and creativity!
